This is one of the most detailed, yet easy to understand books written on capacitor technology. With an eye towards industry professionals (manufacturers, researchers), this book does a masterful job of starting from fundamental physics, but quickly moving beyond the basics.
A must read for any professional in the industry, in this book, the author RP Deshpande has covered the entire gamut of capacitor variations/ applications. The author is clearly an expert (as his profile shows), and his approach to writing the book is much different from the usual academic framework that we see on technical topics. It is quite refreshing to see books written by industry professionals - and this clearly shows in the book.
Highly recommended for industry professionals, manufacturers, researchers, and students of advanced capacitor technology.

Very good book on the subject.

Good book, lots of information that's hard to find elsewhere. Looks like about the best book that I have seen that tries to cover the whole field of capacitors. The author's strength seems to be big power capacitors and systems.
The only problem is that he's trying to cover the whole field, and you can't do that in one book.
