This Should Come With the Camera

I read the manual cover to cover. It wasn't much help. This was the book that made it all clear and understandable. I like to think I am pretty intelligent but I knew that I didn't have much time before my trip and I wanted to really use my new D90. This helped me get up to speed pretty quickly and even cleared up questions from when I used to shoot with my film SLR. I highly recommend this book for any owner of the D90. It is a great camera with incredible potential but only if you know how to use it. This certainly gets you off to a fast start.

Fabulous book! Forget your user manual for now and buy this book as it breaks down all the essentials of this camera. After struggling with the Nikon manual for weeks, I read this and immediately found all kinds of key tricks to making great photos. The author knows Nikon and makes learning the D90, a highly technical piece of equipment, light and easy. I am so glad I bought this and now capture great photos!

I am new to this series of books, but from now own, they will be my first resource!

THE Nikon D90 Guide for the rest of us

I purchased two other D90 books, plus read the owners manual before buying this book. I really wish I could go back and start with this book! I read the owners manual, then started on a second book and decided there had to be a better way to learn about this complex peice of equipment. I learned more in the first 100 pages than from reading the owners manual and half of one other guide. If I were to own one book on the D90, this would be the one.

About the Author
Dr. Teresa A. Carbone joined the Brooklyn Museum in 1985 and is the Andrew W. Mellon Curator of American Art. She is the curator and exhibition publication co-author of Youth and Beauty: Art of the American Twenties; a co-curator of Eastman Johnson: Painting America; and the principal author of the two-volume American Paintings in the Brooklyn Museum: Artists Born by 1876.

Dr. Kellie Jones, an authority on African American and African Diaspora artists, is Associate Professor in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University. She is the author of EyeMinded: Living and Writing Contemporary Art; and Taming the Freeway and Other Acts of Urban HIP-notism: African American Artists in Los Angeles in the 1960s and 1970s. She served as the curator of “Now Dig This! Art and Black Los Angeles, 1960-1980”—part of the Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time initiative—which originated at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles in 2011.

It's all good!

Unlike many books that have a test at the end, this one begins with "Take The Millionaire Master Plan Test", which tells you which of 4 choices is your natural genius area: One is infrared, which is going deeper into debt each month; another is red---eeking out a living each month: We also have indigo (affluence) and eventually ultraviolet, where generating income becomes almost effortless. This author is the Founder of the Entepeneurs Instutute, and owns Vision Villas, Asia's first Enterpreneur Resort in Bali. His mission is to support the growth of what he calls "financial literacy", and social entrepreneurship around the world. Does anything catch your interest or curiosity yet? Mine was definitely piqued when I learned he lives in Bali with his family. Yikes! He must be doing something right to live in paradise.

a tremendous leap of insight and clarity

I've read far too many books about business / success / wealth... and I have to say this book is at the top of the list. Roger's model is a tremendous leap forward, at least for me. It's not all happy-talk about "abundance" etc., his insight that makes the most impact is his direct perhaps hard-to-accept truth that "you probably haven't earned the right" to play at your desired level of wealth and success... yet. Also his recognition that in order to progress to the "next level", you will have to give up that which you most value at your current stage. I was unfamiliar with his work until recently, and have to say that since I've been learning and studying his model, there have been very curious and very positive synchronicities happening in my business, without getting too "woo woo". Absolutely recommend this.

3 days now and still no token... What gives?

I've bought the Kindle version of this book and have followed the instructions for receiving a token, but I have yet to receive one. I've also emailed the Wealth Dynamics Support twice now to no avail, and no response either. It's been almost three days now. It's silly that the author instructs us to take the test first before reading further given these challenges with the token system. This is really disappointing.

This is one of the most detailed, yet easy to understand books written on capacitor technology. With an eye towards industry professionals (manufacturers, researchers), this book does a masterful job of starting from fundamental physics, but quickly moving beyond the basics.

A must read for any professional in the industry, in this book, the author RP Deshpande has covered the entire gamut of capacitor variations/ applications. The author is clearly an expert (as his profile shows), and his approach to writing the book is much different from the usual academic framework that we see on technical topics. It is quite refreshing to see books written by industry professionals - and this clearly shows in the book.

Highly recommended for industry professionals, manufacturers, researchers, and students of advanced capacitor technology.

Very good book on the subject.

Good book, lots of information that's hard to find elsewhere. Looks like about the best book that I have seen that tries to cover the whole field of capacitors. The author's strength seems to be big power capacitors and systems.
The only problem is that he's trying to cover the whole field, and you can't do that in one book.
