Great book. Clearly written, intuitive, tons of examples, easy to see at a glance what's important. This book is easy to learn from and goes along nicely with a course in applied statistics, i.e. using real-world data and projects. Not huge on statistical theory, but great if you want to learn how to "choose, fit, assess, and use" statistical models.
